I’ve watched this movie 2 times in the past 4 days, and I honestly feel like watching it again tonight…I wish there were badasses like Arnold around these days
I can honestly say this band has some of the most enlightening and meaningful lyrics out of any music today. Which also happens to be why I can never get sick of them. I don’t care if you hate this kind of music, lyrics like “So sing your song with the highest choir; preach from the top of the world. Share your voice.” can really ignite something deep inside of you. Straying from the norm, be who you are and not just a carbon copy of the people around you, words to live by basically. I dunno, maybe im just ranting about how much love i have for the dudes who are in this band, mainly the lead singer who writes all the lyrics, but damn it all this band gets to me.
Hot Tub Time Machine - Everyone needs to see this…that is if you are interested in a movie that is full of one-liners and hilarious situations that will be eventually be quoted to death.
Stuff I am looking forward to
Just thought I should list some things that Spring and Summer are going to bring that I am really looking forward to.
Music - There are a ton of new albums coming out in the next coming months that are really giving me a quarter chub just thinking about them. War of Ages, As I Lay Dying, Parkway Drive, Silent Civilian, Bullet For My Valentine.
Movies - Clash of the Titans, Kick-Ass, Predators, Iron Man 2, THE EXPENDABLES, Robin Hood, MacGruber, Prince of Persia, A-Team, TOY STORY 3! lol. Definitely gonna be spending some greenbacks at the theaters this summer.
NBA Playoffs and Baseball Season - Finally the only part of the NBA that is actually a decent watch, the playoffs! Then baseball finally begins which officially brings in Spring. Should be a good summer of attending many rangers games and seeing CJ Wilson blow games for them. Also it is Ken Griffey Jr.’s last season in the MLB, i shall shed some tears during his retirement press conference.
Last But Not Least…SUMMER - A break from school/life. Enjoying the weather, and just relaxing. The next month needs to seriously fly by. Also in April there is a little event titled River Raft Race aka Boobs, Babes, and Beer 2010. Pretty pumped for it.
Hipsters…The downfall of mankind and the continuation of CONFORMITY
I honestly had no problem with these people until attending the University of North Texas. With the plague filling the streets and bars of the city, i realized that this “Non-Conformist” group was only a continuation of the complete opposite. They try to stand out from the crowd, be something completely different, but they are all the exact same FUCKING people. They tend to send looks of dismay and disgust like you are the conformist, even though they themselves are conforming.
I know it is just another phase of social continuation like EMO and SCENE was, but when you are trying to be something different, but end up being like a shit ton of other people…WHAT THE FUCK IS THE POINT.
